Access Statement for St Mary's Hall

Introduction

Our aim is to cater for the needs of our visitors in our bed & breakfast. The following statement is a summary of our provision, if you have any specific questions please feel free to call us and we will endeavour to help.

Pre-arrival

We have photographs, video and maps on our website showing the interior and exterior of the building.

There is a map facility on our website too.

The main rail London/Waterloo station is a 15 minute walk, or a 5 minute drive. Frequent service.

The bus stop is less than 5 minute walk, on Butts Road. Frequent service.

Arrival and Car Parking Facilities

We have ample on site car parking on our own gravel car park.

We can offer assistance with luggage to all our guests.

Access to the front door is also on gravel driveway, no steps. Then internal step into main hall. Once checked in guests are given keys to access the Bed & Breakfast via gravel car park and one step to patio through doorway into guest lounge, one step to this. Our Garden Suite is accessed on the opposite side of the patio area and has two steps.

All out door areas are well lit at night with sensor lights along the drive and patio area's.

Guide dogs are welcome and we will provide feeding and water bowls if required.

Main Entrance and Check ln

First entry is by front doors with one small step accessed by gravel drive.

Guests will register in the dining area of the main hall which has a wooden floor, then be escorted to rooms, with all facilities explained. One step up to Guest bedrooms which are accessed from Guest Lounge which has a tiled floor and neutral painted walls, leading out to garden.

St Mary's Hall is a non smoking house, however we provide an ashtray for the garden in one area.

There is a bell in the guest lounge for assistance.

Dining Room

Breakfast is served in the dining room on the ground floor at the large Victorian table, chairs without arms which can be moved. We also have a small table which can be utilised if preferred.

We offer a choice of locally sourced breakfasts (when available) always served, and we cater for all dietary requirements on request.

Bedrooms

There are 2 bedrooms on the ground floor with short pile fitted carpets and karndean vynal flooring in the bathrooms. We use low energy light bulbs where possible. Radiators are fitted with thermostatic controls. Towel rail provided.

The single room 'Austen' has an en-suite fully tiled shower cubicle with a step in and a toilet and basin without step, and built in wardrobe.

The double(king size) or twin (Zip and Link) on the ground floor has a private bathroom with a step to fully tiled shower cubicle and toilet and wash basin on the flat and radiator and towel rail.

The guest lounge has free sat TV with video and DVD player fridge and an assortment of games and books local information and maps etc.

'Austen' the single en-suite and 'Knight' the Double/twin rooms are adjacent to each other off the guest lounge on the ground floor with no steps to access rooms to and from the guest lounge. Bedrooms have short pile carpets and bathrooms downstairs Karndean lino floors.

 

The Garden Suite across the garden via the patio and paved path, has a short pile carpet fully tiled bathroom with ceramic tiled bathroom floor, heated towel rail. The suite has a super king size bed with a futon settee which can be a double bed if required. TV with free sat and DVD player. No internal steps in the Garden Suite.

All bedrooms furnished to high standard with accessible sockets, tea and coffee facilities and mineral water provided, fans provided for comfort.

Public Areas

The guest lounge leads to patio and garden via one step, with two sets of wooden garden furniture, small pond and lawn and carefully planted area's for guests to enjoy, this also leads to gravel car park, one step down from patio.

We can provide drying facilities for our guests. We have boot tray's for muddy walking boots too.

We have lots of excellent walks and attractions in the area which we have information for, please ask us for maps books advice etc., Packed lunches can be arranged with prior notice.
