Bedroom accommodation

All bedrooms are furnished to high standard with tea and coffee facilities and mineral water provided, fans for comfort and high speed internet access.

On the ground floor, adjacent to each other and off the guest lounge is our single room and a twin/double room:

The single room 'Austen' has an en-suite fully tiled shower cubicle, a toilet, basin, and built in wardrobe.

The double room 'Knight' has a king size bed or twin (Zip and Link) has a private bathroom (directly opposite the room) with fully tiled shower cubicle, toilet, wash basin and towel rail.

On th first floor is our double 'Tower' room which has a new ensuite with fully tiled shower cubicle, toilet and basin. It has a private landing looking out of the windows in the tower and hand painted wall and ceiling. It is a lovely place to stand and gaze (or sit and read), as guests have discovered.

The 'Garden Suite', with its own private entrance, has an ensuite bathroom with under-floor heating and temperature controlled power-shower. The suite has a super king size bed with a futon settee which can be a double bed if required. You will have plenty of space to relax and watch the TV with free sat and DVD player.

All guests have access to St Mary's Hall with their own key via the guest entrance, making it easy to come and go as you please. You enter into the Guest Lounge with Satellite TV, DVD player, guest fridge, games and space to relax.

Enjoy the peaceful garden

Just outside the lounge is a patio and garden with garden furniture where you can sit and enjoy the planted areas, small pond and lawn.

Home-cooked, locally sourced breakfast

Breakfast is served in the dining room on the ground floor at the large Victorian table or a smaller table if you prefer. We offer a choice of locally sourced breakfasts (when available) and we cater for all dietary requirements on request.

Enjoying your stay

We can provide drying facilities for our guests. We have boot trays for muddy walking boots too. We have lots of excellent walks and attractions in the area which we have information for, please ask us for maps books advice etc. Packed lunches can be arranged with prior notice. We can organise taxis, airport transportation and bag drop-offs.

The Green Leaf Tourism Scheme (GLTS) is part of a national pilot for sustainable tourism in the UK. As a participating accommodation establishment, we are committed to environmental issues such as encouraging car-free tourism, use of local produce, efficient energy usage and recycling.
